What We Do
The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) is a graduate university dedicated to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals through evidence-based, patient-centered learning. We offer graduate programs in Occupational Therapy (Master of Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy), Speech-Language Pathology (Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology), Physical Therapy, Nursing, Education, and post-professional programs designed to prepare compassionate, innovative healthcare leaders.

At the APA Convention, we're excited to connect with psychology students interested in exploring careers that build upon their understanding of human behavior, cognition, development, and mental health. Psychology provides an exceptional foundation for both occupational therapy and speech-language pathology, professions that address the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social factors that influence health, communication, learning, and participation in everyday life.

Occupational therapists work with individuals across the lifespan to improve independence, mental wellness, executive functioning, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and participation in meaningful daily activities. OTs play an important role in behavioral health settings, helping individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, serious mental illness, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other conditions develop the skills needed for successful living, learning, and working.

Speech-language pathologists assess and treat communication, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and social communication disorders. SLPs frequently collaborate with psychologists and other behavioral health professionals to support individuals with autism, traumatic brain injury, dementia, developmental disabilities, and mental health conditions where communication and cognition are affected.

USAHS offers innovative learning environments, hands-on clinical education, simulation experiences, interprofessional collaboration, and dedicated faculty who are practicing clinicians. Our programs prepare graduates to become compassionate healthcare professionals equipped to improve quality of life through evidence-based practice and collaborative care.

Whether your passion is mental health, neuroscience, cognitive rehabilitation, developmental psychology, or helping people live fuller, more independent lives, we invite you to learn how a graduate degree from USAHS can help you turn that passion into a rewarding healthcare career.
