Record Retention
TheraClosure helps psychologists to fulfill their ethical obligations to retain records securely, even in the even of retirement, or an incapacitation or death. Clients have the right to confidentiality and to access to their records. Records must be maintained according to state law, and psychologists must have a plan in place for security of the records for the full retention period, which could range from 5-20+ years (for minors). Who would keep them safe, provide access to them upon client request, notify clients about where their records are located, as they are entitled to access?
TheraClosure is a service by psychologists which helps you plan, and we serve to execute your plan, taking custody of medical records, if needed. As record custodian, we honor your ethical and legal obligations to ensure your clients are protected and your estate does not face legal or financial liability.
